The original Skyrim recipe for Elsweyr Fondue consists of Ale, Eidar Cheese Wheel and the infamous Moon Sugar (also used to make skooma). this is a take on the original recipe with a twist. Enjoy fellow Dragonborne’s!
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 1/2 cups of beer, dry white wine or dry boozey cider
- 1 tbsp cornstach
- 1 tbsp kirsch
- 4 cups or 1 lb mixed of emmentaler, gruyere, or jarlsberg alone or in any combination
- dipping ingredients: bread, cooked veggie sausage pieces, raw veggies like mushrooms, broccoli, cut peppers, etc, cut apple or pear
rub the inside of a pot with the garlic clove. i use an electric fondue pot, but you can also use any pot on the stove as well
add the wine, beer or cider and set the heat to md. bring to a simmer
in a seperate bowl stir together the cornstarch and kirsch and set aside
slowly add cheese to simmering wine mixture white stirring. wait for each batch to dissolve before adding more. you want to do this as well as keep your heat moderate to avoid clumping
stir in the cornstarch mixture to the cheese mixtute and let simmer for 4-6 minutes or so.
you are now ready to dip delicious things in!
